Visiting this website
Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical request information such as your IP address, browser information, requested pages and request times to deliver the website, investigate errors and protect it from abuse. Our basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure website.
The public website has no account registration, advertising pixels or visitor analytics tools. Images, videos and fonts are served with the website. We do not use this website to make automated decisions about you.
Sending an enquiry
The enquiry form on the homepage and the contact page asks for your name, your hotel or company, your email address, an optional project type and a short description of what you have in mind. We use these details to answer your enquiry and discuss your request. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing unless you tick the box that asks for it.
Our basis for this processing is taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
The form also has a tick box, empty by default, asking whether you would like to hear from Hautel now and then. Only if you tick it do we add your name, your hotel or company and your email address to our mailing list, which runs on Mailchimp, a service of Intuit in the United States. Our basis for this is your consent, and Intuit describes its processing in its privacy statement. You can withdraw your consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in any message we send, or by asking us, and we will remove you from the list. Leaving the box empty changes nothing about how we answer your enquiry.
The form delivers your enquiry to Hautel as an email through Resend, our email delivery provider, with your email address set as the reply address. Your enquiry is held in Hautel's mailbox for follow-up and in Resend's delivery log for its retention window. Resend describes its processing in its privacy notice and Data Processing Addendum.
To protect the form from abuse, the website checks where the request comes from and temporarily counts submissions per network address on the server. Each attempt leaves one line in the website's technical logs with a shortened network address, the domain of the email address you entered and the selected project type, never the message itself.
When you contact us
If you email, call, send a WhatsApp message or book a conversation, we receive the contact details and information you choose to share. We use these to respond and discuss your request. This is based on taking steps at your request before a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries. Contacting us does not subscribe you to marketing.
Information is accessible to the people and service providers needed to handle your request. We retain it for the time needed to follow up, provide any agreed service and meet applicable legal obligations. You can ask us about the information held in your case.
Providers and external links
Vercel provides hosting and Resend delivers enquiry emails. Our contact links open your email application, WhatsApp or Calendly; social and map links open their respective services. These services process information under their own privacy notices when you use them. They are not embedded in this page.
Providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Vercel describes its processing arrangements and transfer safeguards in its Data Processing Addendum. Please check the privacy information of any external service you choose to use before sharing information.
Cookies
This public website does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and its application does not store cookie preferences or track you across websites. Hosting security measures may use strictly necessary technologies. External services you open can use their own cookies. You can manage those through their controls and your browser settings.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. Email info@hautel.agency to make a request. You may also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
